I am so glad I decided to take this trip. It was an overdue acknowledgement of a significant age, a mother-daughter bonding time, and a reconnect with Peta who always said she was going to start a business for women in the wilderness. It really was about the journey, and about finding that inner strength on many levels. Peta was great at meeting us where we were: we wanted peace, quiet and low-drive treks. We got it all! Peta is a natural teacher and confidence-builder just by being with her. Food was better than home. Do it!! Can’t believe I’m saying this, but maybe next time we’ll do a mother-daughter winter trip!!
